Missions
Wesley's vision:
In a sermon called "The New Creation" given in 1785, Methodism's founder, John Wesley, considered the promises made in the Book of Revelation: no more death and no more pain, sickness, or grieving for or parting with friends. Wesley envisioned "an intimate, an uninterrupted union with God; a constant communion with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, through the Spirit; a continual enjoyment of the Three-One God, and of all the creatures in Him!"
Ohltown UMC strives to keep with John Wesley's beliefs as they seek to " make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As disciples of Christ we should work to transform the world into a new creation. It is with this mission in mind that we serve the church, community, nation and the world.

Adopting a ClassThe Mission Committee has adopted the Second Grade at Seaborn Elementary School in Mineral Ridge. This allows members to spend time reading, allowing students to read to them, helping in the class room, baking cookies, providing treats and much, much more.
